At the faculty of history, archeology and Ethnology of KazNU.al-Farabi-Farabi al-Farabi held a meeting with the famous scientist, politician, Professor and corresponding member of the Academy of social Sciences of Kazakhstan, with Azimbai Gali dedicated to the memory of the victims of famine 1932-1933.
The faculty of history, archeology and Ethnology with the support of the professional Union of students "Sunkar" played the Dean's Cup on mini football among students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the faculty. The total number of teams of participants was 10 teams, among which the strongest was the team of 2nd year undergraduates. Holders silver medals were the students of the 4th course, rounded out the winners students of the 2nd course.
The Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, the Department of History of Kazakhstan organized a memorial evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the hero of the Great Patriotic War, defender of the Brest Fortress, historian, veteran, professor KazNU im.al-Farabi Gabbas Zhumatovich Zhumatova. This evening was officially held in DSP Keremet at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
During the week of languages, a round table was held with students of the first year of the specialty "Archeology and Ethnology" on the topic "Spiritual Revival and Language". Such aspects as the languages of ethnics residing on the territory of Kazakhstan, and the future of the Kazakh language were considered.
First year students of the specialties "Archeology and Ethnology" and "Museum Business" visited the Almaty History Museum and took part in the event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Kazakhstan TV channel, and they also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the museum exhibits.
In the Kazakh National university Department of World History, historiography and source study of the Faculty History, archeology and ethnology organized international workshop which was called "A New Frontier in the Study of Modern History of Central Asia: Research Collaboration between Kazakhstan and Japan". In the first part of this workshop participants presented papers about current problems on studying Central Asia in modern historiography of Japan and Kazakhstan.
19.05. in the secondary school No. 43 there was an exhibition of the Shiliktinsky, Altai and Urjar archaeological expeditions. At the exhibition were exhibited field photos Espeditsii, finds found during archaeological works and for graduates the booklets of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology. Schoolchildren not only took part in the exhibition, but also received information about the specialties of the faculty.
