Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has entered the world top 250 best universities. According to the QS World University Rankings (the UK), KazNU is one of the top 250 universities of the world, steadily holding the 236th line.

Global Hub UNAI on Sustainability at Al Farabi KazNU has contributed to the work of the session “Smart and Sustainable Cities of the Future” at the 10th Astana Economic Forum (AEF) which took place on June 15 and 16, 2017 in Astana city, Kazakhstan.
On June 20, 2017, an international conference dedicated to the Great Silk Road was held in the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which united an international team of experts in the field of research of this cultural and geographical segment of the world history.
UNAOC, KazNU launch new joint project. The project "Formation of a virtuous society citizens" will be implemented within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Residing in the KazNU Technoprk "Zertis" project participated in annual republic contest "Startup Bolashak" and won 2nd place, raised investments. Project's main point is a solil-free automated growing of plants. Such technology allows to save place, energy, time and water without harming ecosystem. You can find the invention in Technopark (laboratory #7 and nearby the greenhouse).
